We are open for PRIVATE TOURS and SLOTH ENCOUNTERS!
Bookings inquiries can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
While it is impossible for us to fully open with current restrictions and safety measures, we are super happy to announce that we are now able to offer private tours of our Sarsfield & Hamilton locations.
Tours will start at $150 for an individual household, with additional households being an additional $50 each, with a maximum of 4 households, to ensure we can provide a safe and fun environment.
If you were hoping to meet our sloths, we are also offering sloth encounters for $400 for groups of a maximum of 2 households which also includes a private zoo tour.
If you would like a sloth encounter without a private zoo tour, the cost is $195 + tax for the first three people, with an additional $50 + tax per person up to a maximum of 5 people.
For visitors we will be following all recommended safety protocols coming out of the province and we have countless policies in place to protect both visiting families and our animals. Please shoot us a message or email us below for a list or our Covid protocols that we are happy to share with you.
The latest a booking can be accepted is 12pm the day before the tour.
Tour time slots are 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm, 6 pm and last approximately 90 minutes.
Only 1 tour group is allowed per time slot. This can include up to 4 households in Ottawa, 7 people in Hamilton.
Payment is to be done by credit in advance of tour, to ensure minimal contact.
While tour guides will be wearing face shields, we do ask that any individual over the age of 2 bring and wear a face mask.
We hope this answered some of your questions, and hope to hear from you soon.

COVID 19 UPDATE
Please note that Little Ray’s takes all animals’ care and welfare (including humans) very seriously and will ensure that all appropriate safety measures will be in place while still providing a fun and educational experience.
WE WONT TURN ANYONE AWAY!
It’s a part of our mission to ensure that everyone can see and learn about our animals – regardless of financial limitations or any other special circumstance.
Financial Accessibility — We are certain people appreciate the expense of caring for our animals and running our events, but we do NOT want to be cost prohibitive. If you or anyone you know would like to attend but for one reason or another this is not possible for financial reasons, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will gladly arrange entrance that works for them/you.
Special Needs — We recognize that many families, schools, and organizations have children with special needs who could benefit greatly from our zoos and presentations; however, may not be able to attend as they may not do well in crowds. Please don’t hesitate to reach out regarding financial accessibility in visiting our zoo and we’d be happy to assist.
Our interactive and educational animal museum exhibits are fully staffed with zookeepers who are there to interact with, engage, and educate the public. The dynamic combination of themed exhibits, engaging presentations and educational interpretation cover conservation issues, facts about animals from around the world and the environment in which those animals live.
These world-class exhibits are modular, customizable, and flexible in design and installation. They can beautifully accommodate areas from 500 sq.ft. to 9,000 sq.ft. Interactive components, highly qualified zookeepers, educational programming, and turnkey operations are included in all exhibits.
Little Ray’s Nature Centres is Canada’s leader in providing world-class, interactive, interpretive animal education exhibits and programming for museums, conservatories, zoos, nature parks, and botanical gardens.
