Hi! Thanks for visiting my page! Here’s a little about me:
I’m originally a prairie boy, growing up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. My early love for animals was encouraged by my family who were always buying me books and encyclopedias of the animal kingdom. When I was young, we moved just steps away from Winnipeg’s Assiniboine Park Zoo where I spent a lot of my time. I was also allowed the freedom to collect pretty much any pet you could imagine. Today I still take care of a large collection of pets, including snakes, lizards and arachnids, but my favorite animals will always be dogs. Chase is my Bull Mastiff / Boxer cross.
I remember when Little Ray opened the zoo in Ottawa so many years ago. I used to visit on a regular basis, loving the hands on approach they took to eco-education. I eventually became friends with Little Ray and his wife Scary Sheri, and began working for them part time. It didn’t take long to figure out that I had found my passion. Teaching the truth about animals and changing the way people look at wildlife. At the same time creating an awareness, and more importantly, creating an appreciation for some very misunderstood animals, not just from around the world, but also in our own backyards. Today this is my full time commitment. But you won’t find me in the zoo. I spend all of my time on the road. Not just around Ottawa and across Ontario, but coast to coast across this beautiful country of ours. And it doesn’t matter if I’m presenting at a birthday party, in the classroom, or to crowds of hundreds in the deserts of Alberta, I look forward to going to work every single day. So when you see me around, please don’t hesitate to stop by and say hello, and see what interesting animals I have with me.
