Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo has been presenting in classrooms since 1995. Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo has BRAND NEW curriculum-based programs written to comply with Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI school curriculums. While fun, entertaining and very educational, these programs help to strengthen the lessons taught in class through an interactive, hands on approach to eco-education. Elementary Age Children
In the School
Our wildlife educators will take your class on a trip around the world, showing animals from around the globe and even those found right in our own backyards. Expect to see 8-10 animals including snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, amphibians, bugs and a crocodilian.
As always presentations can be catered to your classes individual needs and lesson plans, and can be done in English or French.
- Kindergarten: General Animal presentation/ Pond Study
- Grade 1: Needs & Characteristics of Living Things
- Grade 2: Growth & Changes in Animals
- Grade 4: Habitats
- Grade 6: Biodiversity
- Grade 7: Ecosystems
Presentations are 1 hour in length at a cost of $195+HST. Additional presentations on the same day can be added for $120+HST each as long as there is not more than an hour break between presentations. Secondary Age Children

Except to see 8-10 animals including snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, amphibians, bugs, and a crocodilian. Because of the higher educational component to our Secondary grade presentations, we also include at least one mammal and at least one bird.
As always, these presentations can be catered to your classes individual needs and lesson plans, and can be done in both English or French.

Presentations are 1 hour in length (or normal length of class) at a cost of $195+HST or applicable provincial tax. At the Zoo
Since the opening of the zoo in 2000, Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo has catered to groups of all interests and sizes. We have the facilities to educate and entertain schools groups from 20 to 200.
Your zoo visit includes 3 activities:
- The first is a walk through the zoo displays where students can see over 80 displays with animals from around the globe.
- Afterwards the students can expect to see an interpretive feeding demonstration with at least 3 different species of animals.
- Lastly, they will be able to participate in an interactive, hands on presentation where they can get up close and personal with some of the zoo’s amazing animals.
This package is 2 hours in length and is $175+tax for the first 15 students, with additional students at $8+tax/each. Please note that 1 teacher/supervisor is admitted free for every 5 students in attendance. Prices are subject to 13% HST
