Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo has been in operation, traveling to schools and daycares across Canada since 1995 and has been open to the public since 2000. During that time, we have done thousands of educational presentations and today have the largest outreach program of any Canadian zoo.

We are animal lovers first! Here is a list of our credentials: 
  • Both the zoo itself and the outreach program are fully insured.
  • All necessary permits and inspections from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Agriculture Canada and Health Canada have been obtained and completed.
  • We are the largest reptile rescue in Canada, assisting the Humane Society and SPCA in rescuing and placing unwanted pet reptiles across the country.
  • We are regularly vet-inspected.
In the Daycare 
As always presentations can be catered to your classes individual needs and lesson plans, and can be done in English or French.

Package #1 

Package #1
$195.00+tax - This hour-long presentation includes 8-10 animals featuring snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, amphibians and invertebrates. Additional presentations on the same day can be added for $120.00 each as long as there is not more than an hour break between presentations.

Package #2 

Package #2
$245.00+tax for an hour-long presentation. This package includes similar animals to the ones listed above( in Package #1) but larger, and also includes a crocodilian. Additional presentations on the same day can be added for and additional $145.00 as long as there is not more than an hour break between presentations.

At the Zoo 

Want to bring your class to our zoo?

Ottawa, ON – In Zoo Groups/School/Daycare Visits– Basic – $175 + HST for the first 15 students (1 staff/chaperon is admitted FREE per every 5 children). Additional students/kids/parents are $8.00 + HST each.
Since the opening of the zoo in 2000, Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo has catered to groups of all interests and sizes. Your visit begins with 45 minutes to tour through the zoo followed by your own private feeding demonstration. Following the feeding show you will have 45 minutes in your party room to have lunch or snacks, and free time. The last 30 minutes of your party you will have a private hands-on presentation where your guests will be able to see and touch some of the animals. This package does not include and food or supplies, you are welcome to bring any goodies you would like. There is a fridge/freezer in the room and a microwave if needed.

Notice: Please note the room capacity for groups and birthday parties is set at 15 guests total. Additional guests are welcome at an additional cost. The room is approximately 13.5 x 20 feet.
