GREAT ARTICLE on the important roles that world class research and educational facilities such as the Vancouver Aquarium play in conserving wild populations of cetaceans and ecosystems. Most people advocating against places like the Vancouver Aquarium keeping cetaceans have no appreciation for the amount of research and conservation work being done at facilities such as the Vancouver Aquarium. To be clear, I am not saying every facility in the world should be able to house cetaceans but facilities such as the Vancouver Aquarium are not just another facility. They partake and fund invaluable research and educational programming. Take a few minutes and read some of the highlights of their amazing work.
