WE WONT TURN ANYONE AWAY!
It’s a part of our mission to ensure that everyone can see and learn about our animals – regardless of financial limitations or any other special circumstance.
Financial Accessibility — We are certain people appreciate the expense of caring for our animals and running our events, but we do NOT want to be cost prohibitive. If you or anyone you know would like to attend but for one reason or another this is not possible for financial reasons, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will gladly arrange entrance that works for them/you.
Special Needs — We recognize that many families, schools, and organizations have children with special needs who could benefit greatly from our zoos and presentations; however, may not be able to attend as they may not do well in crowds. Please don’t hesitate to reach out regarding financial accessibility in visiting our zoo and we’d be happy to assist.
We’re Moving – Grand opening Delayed !
It is with great pleasure that we announce that after 18 years on Bank Street we have purchased a building and are officially moving our Ottawa Zoo/Nature Centre to a larger facility. The Ottawa location has been fabulous for us but we have simply outgrown the location and found the perfect spot in Sarsfield, ON about 15 minutes East from Orleans and not far from the 417. We will be going from half an acre and 7,000 sq ft to 3.5 acres and 14,000 sq ft and the main building is a giant open warehouse allowing for us to set up exhibits in any configuration we choose which will be awesome.
Our entire team is super excited about this amazing new venture and what we can accomplish at this new facility. Stay tuned for details of the new plans in 2019.
THANK YOU – We can not thank each of you enough for all of your support over the years.
For the remainder of 2018 and for half of 2019, we remain open on 5305 Bank Street, Ottawa, ON:
The Bank St. Zoo will be remain open through the summer.
Stay tuned for news about our new grand opening date for the new location.
